How It Works:

You first decide how many different locations you wish to have visited and keep a record of each visit. Then you use a worksheet to list the barcode location ID Number and beside it other information about that location you would like recorded. A number of columns or data fields are provided to attach additional cross references to scanned data, which you may or may not decide to use.

Next enter the location information into the program and have the labels applied at the locations to be visited.

A scanner is given to the person actually visiting the various locations and he/she scans the barcodes during the course of their shift. Upon return they hand the scanner in to the administrator.

The administrator plugs the scanner into their computer and uploads the data. First they are presented with a screen that gives them an opportunity to assign an operator name to the scans. You would click ok to accept the data and it is saved into the computer software file.

All of the above is straightforward and requires little technical skill.

The real power comes from the way the administrator can view, sort, assemble and report on the scans collected. The many tools provided are varied to suit almost any desired result.
